Most Small Business Websites Look The Same...
Local businesses don’t compete the same way large brands do. Most of the time, potential customers are comparing several options in the same area — and many websites end up looking and sounding almost identical.
Generic headlines, stock photos, and vague service descriptions don’t tell visitors what actually makes a business different. When every website looks the same, it becomes much harder for potential customers to remember you or understand why they should choose YOU.
You’re not trying to go viral. You want the right customer to find you, trust you, and book with you.
Clear positioning, real differentiation, and a well-structured website make a huge difference.
That's what Digital Unicorn can create for you.
No agency gatekeeping.
You own everything. Always.
Your domain, your hosting, your accounts — no lock-ins, no retainers you didn't ask for. Every Magic Site includes a personalized training session so you can confidently manage and update the site yourself after launch. If you'd rather hand off ongoing edits, that option exists too.
Case study: Cedarwood Cleaning, Greater Victoria
Cedarwood grew from zero digital presence to 60+ five-star Google reviews, a steady recurring client base, and enough demand to hire additional staff.
When Alannah came in, Cedarwood had no website, no brand, and no system to capture leads. Inquiries came through DMs and voicemails. Billing was manual. There was no way to convert demand consistently. She wanted the business to feel more professional — and to grow without feeling scattered or overwhelmed.

What a Small Business Website Should Actually Do
A strong website helps potential customers understand what makes your business different and guides them toward the next step. For local businesses, that means clearly communicating who you serve, what you specialize in, and why someone should choose you over other options in the area.
When your messaging is clear and your site is structured well, it becomes much easier for visitors to recognize that your business is the right fit for them — instead of just another option on the list.

Clearly explain what makes your business different
Visitors immediately understand what you offer and why you’re the right choice.
Show the people behind the business
Introduce your team so customers feel comfortable before they reach out.
Make it easy to book or contact you
Clear buttons, simple forms, and direction help visitors take the next step.
Build trust with authentic reviews
Honest feedback helps your business feel credible and approachable.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Magic Site Package
Do I need anything prepared before the intake session?
No. Just bring your ideas, goals, and any inspiration you have. If you already have branding, photos, or existing content, that’s helpful — but not required. The intake session is designed to gather everything we need.
What platforms can you build on?
I can build on many different platforms, however, most of my clients benefit the most from using Wix, Wordpress, or Kartra. During the intake session, we’ll choose the platform that best matches your goals, features, and comfort level.
Do you handle domain and hosting?
You maintain full control of your domain and hosting accounts. I’ll guide you through setup and connect everything properly. Most website platforms charge around $20–$50 per month for hosting, domain, and premium features. I'll give you a price estimate before we get started.
Can you write my website copy?
Yes — copywriting is included. I create clear, conversion-focused content for your site, and you’ll also learn how to make edits so you can update or refine the text anytime.
What if I’m not tech-savvy?
This package is designed for you. You’ll receive a personalized training session so you can confidently update your site on your own. If you prefer a hands-off approach, you can choose a month free of done-for-you updates instead, and then move into one of my ongoing support subscriptions.
Can I hire you for updates after the site is live?
Absolutely. You can join the Website Watchdog Subscription ($99/month) for ongoing edits, maintenance, and quarterly performance reports. If you want broader support — like social media management or ad campaigns — I offer several subscription options for that as well. Check out all my service bundles here!
Is it really only $2,000?
Yes. No upsells, no fine print. This is a full, custom-built website package priced for small business owners.
How long does a Magic Site take to build?
Most Magic Site projects take 2–3 weeks depending on the complexity of the business and how quickly we finalize content and feedback. If you need a faster turnaround, it's possible, for an additional fee. Inquire during your Strategy Spark Session.
